Helen

My sister, my friend, my mentor. You took care of us when we were young. You got older and left our home when you found true love with moises and life begun.
God anointed you fingers to play those keys. He gave you a voice from heaven where his praises could be sung. The most precious jewels were you loves Larry, Paul and Rebekah. Your life was devoted to them to the very end.

My sister and friend i miss you more than ever and one day will see you again.

Her prayers are sown.

The child it there to attend.

Her love was a jewel.

Momma I love you and all you have done.
Your love is brighter than the sun.

The darkness

She is sleeping as the darkness enters the room. She is awakened by the touch of the cold hand. She looks up and sees a pair of dark green eyes. She feels a fear gripping her throat. “You are mine,” it says in a scary voice.”
“She is not yours.” A voice shouted.
“Who are you?” It asks.
“I am the I am, and she is my child!” He replies in a thunder. The darkness began to tremble and flee the room. “When you are my child and stay close to me, I will always protect you.”

The Two Dogs

A man has a dog named death it demands all of his attention consumes everything around him. The owner at first liked the feeling of being empowered by such an ungodly creature. He thinks he controls him but as time goes by, he realizes that death has consumed his world. He tries to get rid of him but he always comes back.

He cries out to the creator for help, another dog appears, and his name is life. Death is scared of life so he goes and hides in his cage. The man locks the cage and plays with life.  Peace comes over him and confusion is gone. Life is a gentle and smart creature.  He is solid white with blue eyes.  When he goes on a walk with life the people that were afraid of him laugh at him now.  He just smiles and goes on.  Life does not know a stranger so people come up, touch him, and love on him.

One day he was on a walk with life and a boy tried to hit him.  He did not growl or bite he just rolled over and waged his tail. “Life you have to learn to protect yourself or you will get hurt.” He says.  Life looks at him barks like saying you are my protector.

As the days and months went by the new wore off.  He got tired of doing good deeds and protecting life. He heard an old friend howling. Death had become skinny and lonely.  In his howls, he could hear him calling his name and he remembered the fun they had drinking, drugs, dirty movies, and being mean to people. He missed the days of worldliness. The next day he took a big steak, fed it to death, and let him out.  As he takes death for a walk, he can hear life howling in the house crying for him to stop.

“I will be back.  I need to take death for a walk.” He says.  Once they leave the yard, death wanted to play at the park.  He is happy and acting like he did when he was a pup. “Maybe death has changed his ways and we can become friends again.”

They come back and death kindly goes back to his cage and wags his tail.  He goes into the house with life and loves on him. The next day he is sitting with life and hears death howling for him once again.  He gets up and life tries to stop him from going outside.  “It will be ok he won’t hurt me.” He says.

He goes outside and sees death in the front yard waiting for him.  He is a beautiful black dog with green eyes and he is not alone, his friends are with him.   Death jumps him, knocks him to the ground, and begins to bite him. The man begins to yell for life to come help him.  He tries to get out of the house but the man had locked the doors.  Life is howling and barking. The demons are laughing and cursing. Near to death, the man calls upon the creator again.  The creator comes, knocks death off him, and causes the demons to flee.  He opens the front door and life come running out and fights with death and wins.  The creator puts death back into his cage and looks at the man, “until the appointed time both dogs will exist.  Whom you decide to feed will be your master. It is your choice.”

Waiting

I am waiting in the hall way of many doors. All the doors are shut and i am waiting for the door knob to appear. The door I came through has disappeared. No turning back  to the old only going forward hand in hand with my Father. But right now i am waiting for a door knob to appear and a answer to come. A voice will echo thru the hall saying, “Trust me the answer is near.” As I am waiting I keep doing what I know. I am not standing still. I pray and serve my master. When sounds echo thru the hall I run to where it is at and check to see if that is the door I need.

Hurting Heart

Lord my heart hurts for my sister’s family. Helen left this earth 4 years ago this month. She was the rock in her family. Alot has happen since then. She would be proud of her kids and grand kids. If she was here she would be holding her son and his wife in her arms. They have lost 2 babies in six months. Please Father put your arms around them and send them comfort. I may not understand why but I know you are there.

Heart In The Box

A heart is a fragile thing.  Some of us keep our hearts locked away for safe keeping then someone comes along and ask to see it.  So we pull it out and show it.  They promise to take care of it so we hand it over.  At first they cherish it and take care of it then for some reason or another they quit.  So the person that promised to take care of it hands it back in a sick condition.  So it is put back in the box and locked away.  Sometimes it heals and other times it doesn’t.  In time the holder of the heart decides to search out another to share the heart with because a heart is not meant to be put away forever. As the years go by and still searching for the one that would share the heart with us. We get a little scared and not sure if the right person exists. Then we turn our eyes toward heaven and take the broken heart out of the box and hand it to our heavenly Father. The mistake we were making was we were looking for earthly love first and forgetting God put us on this earth to love Him first and then His creations. When Jesus came to this earth He did not carry His heart in a box. He carried it in His hands. He gave His life for us.  Even though we broke His heart and hurt His body He still did not take away His heart from us. He loves us even more. Now we have a chance to find that love we have been looking for. Lord here is my heart I put it in your hands to take care of it. No more boxes and no more hiding it away. My life is entrusted in you.

Between My Heart and Yours

To wrap my arms around you
removing from pain and despair
to fill your heart with love
hushing the fears you bare

I bow my head before you
to consider me worthy of this
Together we will face the day
and the things that are amiss.

Things in life have turned your heart
and blackened it like a coal
Best assure I’m always here
to bring healing to your soul.

A Parent’s Love

As a parent we watch our children come into this world and then watch them grow up.  We try to keep them safe and teach them all we know.  I found out as young parent that I really did not know enough.  I was lost in ways and had no instruction book so I did the best I could with what I had. As time came and went and my boys grew up we did not have much but we had each other.  We had been through a lot of terrible things but we were going to survive.  I guess that changed more than I thought the day that my oldest son was murdered.  I do not know if that is when or before I lost the trust and love of my youngest son.

My middle son had always had his problems.  I found out as he got older that he resented me for leaving his father when they were little.  He found out as a teenager all about his father first hand and I believe that was resolved.  He is now twenty one and finally on the right track.  As my youngest started coming into manhood he started ripping at the apron strings in a very painful way.  It hurts when you feel like one of your children hate you. I have tried to talk to him and resolve things but it does not seem to make a difference.  I have cried and prayed to get relief but the hurt still comes and goes.  God has given me the strength to walk this road so far and He is not going to let me down now. Something about a parent’s love is that no matter what our children do, we always love them.  I had to let go of my middle son for him to finally grow up and now I am going to have to the same for my youngest.

I think about all these things and see what our heavenly Father has gone through with us.  He has laughed and cried with us. He has had to pull back and let us make mistakes as we rejected him but He has never quit loving us and is always watching over us even when we do not think He is.  As I walk my life’s journey and get closer to God I start seeing different things clearer.  The Bible calls it the narrow way and it is.  Closer I get to the Lord more things I leave behind including people I care for and love.

I have had to learn to be God’s light and to let it shine.  Some people like the darkness and will run from the light even the ones we are close to.  Sometimes they will even try to put out our lights with words and deeds.  Just remember there is only one way to God and that is through His Son.  Never let go of God and His people no matter what happens.

Thank you

Thank you Father for life, my family, my children, my friends and enemies, thank you for the valleys and the mountain tops also in between. If life was easy without adversity we would not grow. We are like that diamond in the ground. Pressure makes us form and and grow.  Let life form you into diamond and not a piece of coal.
